Post subject:  Web Album Ideas

I just installed this software and I love it. It is so easy to use.

I do have two suggestions:

1. What about a template gallery where users can download more templates? Maybe one that users can upload their template creations to as well?

2. I'm not sure if this is possible or not. But what about the ability to add text just above the photos. This way a user can add some sentiment about the photos in each album.

3. What about the ability to create watermarks on the images created in the album. This would be good for professional photographers who want a copyright on the photo.

Thanks for a great product! :D

Thank you for appreciation!
Interesting suggestions. We will think about them and probably they will appear in on of the next versions.

Thanks!

I did think of another thing that would be nice to add to the program. How about having the ability to save and publish only the changes you make to your album. Like if you add another gallery you have the ability to have it only publish and save what's new. :)

Oh, I hadn’t understood you exactly..)
Do you want to change published galleries?.. Or not? :)

I have a question about an idea for publishing an album
into a web page.

Is there any way to adjust all the tables in an album to a
fixed width, say 600 pixels instead of 100% width? This
would really help to display Web Photo Album galleries
on older VGA display monitors.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

But if you browser is 600 pixels width, 100% equals to 600 pixels..)
Nevertheless, if you want to avoid horizontal scrolling, there are 2 ways to make this.
The first is to make Thumbs Size small, this is quick solution and likely could help.
And the second is to modify any of the galleries so there would be less thumbnails in width. For this you can open C:\Program Files\Web Photo Album\DesignTemplates, choose the gallery, and open thumbs.htm in Notepad (by simple drag'n'drop). The width is the first parameter in <insertThumbsMatrix>
So if you change
<%insertThumbsMatrix(
{6},
{4},
...
to
<%insertThumbsMatrix(
{3},
{4},
...
it will become twice narrower.
