My Vicman Photo Editor Pro keeps reverting to the unregistered version so I have to keep entering the licence file into the registry. I don't know why this is happening but it's very annoying. When the programme reverts to unregistered I check the registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER_SOFTWARE the registry entry is still there so I can't understand why it doesn't stay as Pro version. Any clues ?? |

When it does revert? After each program run? Or after your logout? What is your OS? |

It's intermittent ......... sometimes I can go days with no problem then at other times it happens two or three times a day. My O/S is XP Pro with SP2 and all updates. I've gotten into the habit of keeping the floppy with the licence file on it in the drive all the time ......... just in case

Seems that something keeps erasing your registry.... What PhotoEditor version do you use? |

I'm using version 7.9 which I believe is the latest version. |

What about the key? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VCW\VicMan's Photo Editor\Key - is the value or erased still there when version becomes unregistered? Does it stays the same when you enter the key file into the registry? |

The registry key is still there but the programme reverts to trial version, after re-entering the registry file it goes to Pro ....... that's the odd thing, I can't figure out why it keeps doing that, I'm just repeating what I've already done. The only sign I get that it's reverted to the trial mode is when I try to export as a .gif file, that's when I see that the .gif option is greyed out. |

I have somewhat the same problem - only my program never gets registered. Even though I download and run the key.reg file, the photo toolkit application still claims that is an evaluation version, and that I have to purchase it (which I just did). Anyone know what might be wrong? The reg.key was successfully added to the registry. |

it seems that the key was generated incorrectly..
