Posted this in a nother forum, no replyes so i try here:)

Just downloaded what seems to be a very nice program (VicMan's Photo Editor 8.1) for editing pictuers. Im new to photo editing, and the reason i downloaded it in the first place was that i have an idea for my bands webpage, and i guess would need a program like this to make it happen:)

What i would like to do is to use a picture i have taken and use it as a page-background. What would be cool(in my head anyway:) is to make different objects thats in the picture, clickable links opening other pages.

So my question is: How do you use VCW photoeditor for this task, has anybody done something like it? Is there a plugin for something like this or a neat trick? Thanks in advance.....

Well, there are different ways to do that.
First one is to use HTML map. Like on large photos in our web albums: http://www.alair.org/conf2007files/PhotoGallery/alairconference2007/photo283.htm.
Second one is to split image in Photo Editor. It is great for splitting few images (as it is free). But can be not so handy for slicing dozens of photos.
So the third possible solution is to use any special splitting program like these: http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Search/newsearch.php3?S_S=image+slices&Category=0.
