Using Vicman's V8. When I open a gif image and modify then click save button, it saves as a new jpeg image?!?. Saving from the file menu does not work since the option is greyed out on the menu. The only option available is 'save as' and gif image is not available as one of the file types to save as. Please help.

also.. I cannot directly open a file by double clicking it or using the "open with" command even if the file association is set to Vicmans.. It just opens the program and i have to search for the file i want to by using the open command.

any help would be appreciated.

Thx

Ed

Thank you for the bug reports.
Yes, unfortunately VCW VicMan’s Photo Editor supports only reading of GIF format, but not writing of it. Nevertheless, I would reccomend you to use PNG format. It is newer, compresses much better and is one of 4 image formats supported by all browsers.
And what about the second one, yes, there is such a problem too. So we will try to reproduce this bug, investigate and fix it. And as quick solution we would recommend you to associate your image files with another program for now. And what is your favorite image viewer?
