I think it would be cool to have little name plaque/plate under each frame, so the titles can be seen as you are walking around. This would be an optional setting, of course.

Another idea would be to have some method of displaying the subject of the pictures in each room. Perhaps a small sign hanging down from the ceiling just before you go through a doorway - similar to the "Exit" signs in buildings. I would really like this option. Perhaps an option pane, too.

It could offer the ability to hide or show titles.
It could offer the ability to hide the extension
It could offer the ability to initial cap the text (Great idea)

Font and color control would be a nice addition, too.
