My idea is to display pictures of my calculators collection in a new and original way.
I would locate each picture in a 3D envirnment (x, y, z).
x would be the year of manufacture
y would be the technology used
z would be the manufacturer name and machine type.
By chosing a plane, an axis, or a point, I can display, for instance
all the machines of the same make, with their technology and age,
or all the machine made in 1935, with the maunufacturers and technologys of this year, etc...
Of course, the space can be rotated and translated, I would zoom, and all the pictures would stay upside up, and perpandicular to the vision axis. No need for any perspective of a picture itself. Just a zoom.
A label is to be shown next to the machine to give make, type, year and technology, and a link to the website page giving more details.
Is this idea fully creazy ? Have you seen that elsewhere ? Can it be done ?
