Post subject:  EXIF, IPTC and JPEG comments ...

Hello,

I just so the "new" checkbutton "Show EXIF information" in the "Web Photo Album" version 1.1.

I used this option to create a new album, but there was no difference to the "unchecked" version with "Show EXIF information".

So - what does this option results in?

And ... as suggestion ... what's about using JPEG comments inside the generated HTML pages or even IPTC elements?

Thanks and best regards,

Martin

EXIF is very similar to IPTC. It represents additional info about photo.
There can be 2 reasons of no changes: either there is no EXIF info in the picture or current template doesn’t have fields for showing info (some of our artistic templates don’t have them).
Well, and thank you for suggestion! I’ve just put it to our Wish List!

Good Morning!

I tested again and ... no the pictures I've used contain EXIF information and JPEG comments ... yes the template I've chosen didn't display the EXIF information. So ... it works, but only for EXIF information.

By the way ... JPEG comments are not the EXIF or IPTC comments, but very often supported by bitmap viewer/editor applications -more often than EXIF and IPTC.
Is it possible to support the JPEG comments as picture captions, and to write the captions of pictures as JPEG comments to the files?

Best regards,

Martin
