Photo Editor issues. Some help please

Post by diismalley »

Hi
I have been using Photo Editor on a project the last couple of days and really like it but I have two major hassles:
1. The preview window is not showing up at all so it is really difficult to work on small areas of the image. I have tried reinstalling a couple of times but that has made no difference.

My operating system is XP Professional and I am using FireFox.

2. The next problem I have is that Photo Editor has taken over as my default editor and so when I just want to do something quick or just view a photo I can't open it in Microsoft Picture manager as I could before installing. (an example is when a client emails me a picture. I used to just click on it to open and check the image quickly - now it opens Photo editor instead)

How do I stop it being 'default' and make it only open when I want it to?

Many thanks for a great product other than this!

Hi and thanks for quick response. The preview window is simply not there. It didn't disappear ... just never there in the first place :?

Anyway I'll try the fix for my second problem as soon as I reinstall and let you know how I go.

OK, and what about Preview window, I think the only way to turn it on is to delete C:\Windows\phedit.ini file to recycled bin.
