retrive thumbnail

I am new to this program and am having no luck in retriving a picture that has been worked on. I saved the picture and added (1) to find it easily. Trying to find the pic all I saw was thumbnail box filled in blue.
Can anyone tell me how to retrive manipulated pics for printing.
