Why did the Founding Fathers of the US think it was important that the population have weapons
Freedom and Liberty were of paramount importance to the founders. I don see how one can answer this question without at least touching on the fact that in order to be truly free one has to have the ability to adequately defend oneself, as well as family, friends and one property from people who want to harm, steal and wreak havoc (and who may have weapons),Air Jordans High Heels sale. To ignore this and make an academic, historic, seemingly contextual argument that they didn significantly have this in mind is disingenuous. Most of the posts here are being made by those attempting to lay the groundwork for rescinding the Second Amendment,air jordan 17, or instigating severe Gun Control,Air Jordan Hydro. At the very least I sure they believe that taking away the guns will somehow be of great benefit to society.
In fact the problem is moral, societal and values related. Some people will harm others in our society if they think they can get away with it, if the media will glorify them, if they won be punished severely for it and ultimately if they think there is no God and no ultimate judgement for their actions. Good people should be able to own guns if we truly are a free and classically liberal country. When we give up our right to bear arms, that will be the canary in the coal mine.
